The words blank canvas can sound intimidating, but it's the blank canvas that offers the most opportunities. Unrestrained by any specific structure, you can quite literally do whatever you want!
Visual storytelling on the canvas of digital whiteboard is one of the most engaging and impactful ways to interact. After all, videos are shared 7 times more often than articles!
Here's how you can use Explain Everything for recorded visual storytelling:
Step 1. Prepare your materials first. Have them on hand and ready to use during your recording. They can include virtually anything you want — photos and other images, video and audio files, and even an entire browser if need be! Prepare you materials on the canvas by dragging them to your whiteboard or tapping Add Media . Then, using the Inspector tool , add them to Clipart for easy access later on, or in your next projects.
Step 2. Practice your story before recording it. Use only essential tools (like the Draw tool ) and the content that you prepared to go through the story as you would want it on recording. Alternately, you can record your own voice and see how it goes. Just use Overwrite recording for practice.
Step 3. Start recording and telling your story, adding the materials you prepared as you go. To do this, simply tap Record again and add your media. If you're using a tablet, you can make yourself visible when recording!
Step 4. Time to review & share what you've created! Watch your video again to make sure it's as you intended it. Then share it via web video link or upload it to YouTube by tapping Share and selecting the appropriate option. The choice is yours! Note, however, that rendering the video on your device to later upload to YouTube will take longer, while creating a web video link uses the cloud and happens much faster.
