The Edit function of the Inspector Tool provides you with advanced editing options, such as grouping/ungrouping objects, copying, pasting and duplicating as well as flipping objects. It also allows you to create special visual effects or even a newly created object to your custom clipart gallery (on iOS and Android).
- Select the Inspector from the Toolbar.
- Select the Edit Tab.
- Select the objects on your canvas which you wish to edit.
- Choose one of the functions listed below.
Grouping
- Group: groups selected objects together so they act as one object.
- Ungroup: separates previously grouped objects.

Copying, pasting and duplicating
- Duplicate: clones the selected object and places it next to the original object.
- Copy: copies the selected object to the clipboard so you can use later.
- Paste: inserts a previously copied object to the canvas (also allows the pasting of supported images and videos from outside of Explain Everything).

Flipping objects
- Flip Left/Right: flips selected objects vertically.
- Flip Up/Down: flips selected objects horizontally.

More editing options
- Deselect all: deselects all selected objects.
- Set Auto Rotation: puts the selected object into rotation. Start with placing your finger on the control circle and spin it as fast (or slow!) as you want (to stop the object from rotating, place your finger on the circle again). Use the control element on the bottom of the circle to move the center of rotation.
- Set as Background: locks the selected object as a background so your drawings will not stick to it. It will not change its size, scale or position when zooming in and out.
- Add as Clipart: saves the selected object as a custom clipart that could be found in the Clipart Gallery (Select Add Media->Clipart->Custom) and used anytime you want.
- Infinite Scroll: makes the selected object infinitely scroll. In order to start the scroll animation, swipe on the controllers (the animation will start in the direction of your swipe). Select one of the blue dots in the center to stop the effect.
