Using an Account CODE to Join a Group Account 

Using an Account CODE is one of the ways to join a Group in Explain Everything. If you've got an Account CODE, that means that you've been invited to a Group Account by its Owner or an Admin. 

You can join a Group Account in a few simple steps. The process differs slightly depending on whether you already have an account or not.

If you don't have an account yet

  1. Open the Explain Everything app.
  2. Select Join Project from the bottom of the screen.
  3. Type or paste your Account CODE.
  4. Select Join.
  5. Select Create Account.
  6. Type in your email address or a username if you have a CODE that lets you do that and choose a password.
  7. Accept the terms of service.
  8. Select Create Account.
  9. You will now become a part of your Group Account.

Tip You can also use the Sign on with Google or other SSO options to sign in.

  1. Open the Explain Everything app.
  2. Select Join Project from the bottom of the screen.
  3. Type or paste your Account CODE.
  4. Select Create Account.
  5. Type in your email address or a username if you have a CODE that lets you do this and choose a password.
  6. Accept the terms of service.
  7. Select Create Account.
  8. You will now become a part of your Group Account.

  1. Go to Explain Everything.
  2. Type or paste your Account CODE into the “Enter CODE” bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Type in your email address or a username if you have a CODE that lets you do so.
  4. Select a password.
  5. Select Continue.
  6. Accept the necessary terms of service.
  7. Select Create Account.
  8. You will now become a part of your Group Account.

Tip You can also use the Sign on with Google or other SSO options to sign in.

If you already have an account

  1. Go to the Home screen.
  2. Select Join with CODE.
  3. Type or paste your Account CODE.
  4. Select Convert Account.
  5. You will receive a pop up that you are about to convert your account.
  6. Select Convert.

Note Your existing account will now be converted to be part of the Group Account, managed by the Group Admin.

  1. Go to the Home screen.
  2. Select Join with CODE.
  3. Type or paste your Account CODE.
  4. Select Convert Account.
  5. You will receive a pop up that you are about to convert your account.
  6. Select Convert.

  1. Go to Explain Everything Drive.
  2. Type pr paste the Account CODE into the search or enter CODE at the bottom of your screen.
  3. You will be informed that you are about to join a Group Account.
  4. Select Join.
  5. You will become a member of the Group Account.

Note Your existing account will now be converted to be part of the Group Account, managed by the Group Admin.
