If at some point you’d like to change your subscription plan or billing frequency, you can do it various ways depending on how you purchased your subscription, which plan you’re on and which plan you’d prefer to be on.
Note: Not all changes are possible or available immediately if your subscription is active. If your subscription is expired you can purchase a new subscription however you like.
Tip: If you wish to have more storage space but not necessarily change your subscription plan, you can upgrade your Explain Drive Storage.
Select how you purchased your subscription
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
- Explain Everything Website (Credit Card)
- Explain Everything Direct (Cash/Check/Wire)
Tip: Not sure how you purchased the Explain Everything subscription? Check it in your Explain Everything Account profile. Make sure to sign in with the email address that you used during registration.
Change your plan purchased in the App Store
You can manage your plan and billing frequency in your Apple subscriptions. Please follow the instructions from Apple to do so.
When will the change take effect
Depending on your plan, the change will happen immediately or on your next billing date. Whenever you upgrade your plan, it will change immediately. Apple will refund the remaining days in your current plan and charge you for the new one. The date of the upgrade will be your new billing date.
If you switch to a lower plan, the change will take effect on your next billing date.

- Pro Yearly
- Pro Monthly
- Solo Teacher
You upgrade your plan whenever you switch to a one that's higher on the list.
Change your plan purchased in the Google Play Store

Change your plan purchased on the Explain Everything Website (Credit Card)
BEFORE YOU START: Currently, we don't issue refunds for the value of the remaining time on your active subscription when you switch to a different plan.
- In order to switch, cancel renewals for your Explain Everything subscription through your profile first.
- Select a new plan to purchase from the pricing page and follow the steps during the purchase process.
