Add and use Promethean Engagement Apps in your projects

Available for: Advanced and Pro plans on iOS/iPadOS, Android, and Web

Promethean Apps are special, interactive tools you can use to drive classroom engagement. You can add apps to the project you're presenting and engage your students in a dedicated classroom activity.

Note: Please make sure to complete your Promethean account first, to access the Engagement Apps.

Engagement Apps basics

• There are 3 engagement apps available in Explain Everything: Timer, Spinner, and Polling. 
• App settings and lists are saved in your Promethean account.
• Adding apps requires internet connection.
• Apps are slide-independent. They will float above the canvas regardless of the slide you're on.
• Apps are not recorded and they are not visible for other participants during collaboration.
• Apps are standalone widgets and do not save in your project.
• Polling is currently available as a desktop web app.
• You can use Engagement Apps independently from Explain Everything in your desktop web browser. Once you complete your account, you can access them from one.prometheanworld.com.

Access Engagement Apps in your web browser

The Engagement Apps are also available as a standalone web apps on the Promethean page. You can access them directly, if you'd like to use them outside Explain Everything.

1. On your desktop web browser open one.prometheanworld.com.
2. From the top-right hand of the page, select Sign in.
3. Select the sign in method and use your Explain Everything account email.
4. Once you're signed in, from the top left-hand side of the screen, select the Apps icon.
5. Select the app you'd like to use.
