With the Promethean Timer App you can teach and measure time during assessments and class activities.

Timer basics
- The Timer comes with 3 modes: Timer, Stopwatch, and Clock.
- You can have up to 4 Timer apps in your project at the same time.
- Select Play on the Timer or Stopwatch to start it.
Note: Please make sure to complete your Promethean account first to access the Timer app.
Add Timer to your project
- From the Toolbar, select Add Media.
- Select Engagement Apps.
- Select Timer.
TIP: Once you add one Timer, you can then select the + button on it to add another one.

Switch between Timer, Stopwatch, and Clock modes
- On the Timer in your project, select Settings.
- From the tabs at the top, select between Timer, Stopwatch, and Clock.
- Select the small X to close the Settings.

Select and edit Timer presets
- On the Timer in your project, select the Timer icon.
- Select a preset to apply it or choose the Pencil icon to edit it.
- When editing, select the counters to enter the values manually or use arrows to increase or decrease their values.
- Once you're ready, select Done.

Customize Timer, Stopwatch, and Clock styles and settings
On a Timer in your project, select Settings. From the tabs at the top, select the mode which you'd like to apply the settings for. In the Styles tab you can select the color preset that you'd like to apply to your Timer.

- Celebration - select the animation style that will display once the countdown finishes.
- Sound - select the sound that will play once the countdown finishes.
- End phrase - select the message that will display once the countdown finishes.
Stopwatch settings
- Centiseconds - when enabled the Stopwatch will display the centisecond count.
- Sound - select the sound that will play when the count starts.
Clock settings
- Digital / Analog - choose between digital and analog clock faces.
- Seconds - when enabled, the clock will display seconds or feature second hand in the Analog face.
- 24 hours - when enabled, the clock will be displayed in the 24-hour time format.
- Time Zone - select or enter the time zone you'd like to display.

Access Timer app directly in your browser
The Timer app is also available as a standalone web app on the Promethean page. You can access it directly, if you'd like to use it outside Explain Everything.
- Head to one.prometheanworld.com.
- From the top right-hand corner, select Sign in.
- Select your preferred sign in method and use the email associated with your Explain Everything account.
- From the top left-hand corner select the Apps menu.
- Select Timer.
