Projects, videos, and files created in Explain Everything can easily be shared to Google Classroom. This way you can link or attach files to assignments, questions, announcements, and materials to help make your classroom management enjoyable and quick.
Types of content you can share to Google Classroom
- Web Video Links for others to watch
- File attachments: document, image, video, or project
- Link to your cloud project for collaboration or viewing
Share a Web Video Link to Google Classroom
If you've created a Web Video Link you can easily share it with your class. This way you'll attach a video as a link and post it for others to watch.

- Head to the Library tab.
- Go to My Drive.
- Navigate to a project that contains a Web Video Link you'd like to share and select its Project Details.
- Scroll down to the Web Video Links section and select a video.
- Select Google Classroom.
- You will be taken to your Google Classroom account — choose class and one of four available actions, and follow the next steps in Google Classroom to share the video with your class.
- Head to the Library tab.
- Go to My Drive.
- Navigate to a project that contains a Web Video Link you'd like to share and select its Project Details.
- Scroll down to the Web Video Links section and select a video.
- Select Google Classroom.
- You will be taken to your Google Classroom account — choose class and one of four available actions, and follow the next steps in Google Classroom to share the video with your class.
- Sign into Explain Drive.
- On the video you'd like to share, select the ⋮ More icon.
- Select Share.
- Select the Copy icon next to the video link.
- Paste the link into your Google Classroom content.
Share a video, document, image, or project file to Google Classroom
You can share any kind of file you create in Explain Everything to Google Classroom and attach it to any kind of post.
Note: Before you start, make sure the Google Classroom app is installed on your device.
- Head to the Library tab.
- Navigate to the project you’d like to export the file from on and open it.
- Select Share in the top right-hand corner.
- Choose Export from the menu.
- Choose the format you’d like to share your project in.
- Customize your Export Options.
- Once you’re happy with your settings, select Export.
- Swipe the list of available apps and select Classroom. If you don’t see the Classroom app on your list, select More at the end of it, then Edit, and add Classroom to your favorites.
- You will be taken to your Google Classroom account — choose class and one of four available actions, and follow the next steps in Google Classroom to share the project with your Classroom.
Note: Before you start, make sure the Google Classroom app is installed on your device.
- Head to the Library tab.
- Navigate to the project you’d like to export the file from on and open it.
- Select Share in the top right-hand corner.
- Choose Export from the menu.
- Choose the format you’d like to share your project in by selecting a tab.
- Select Classroom from the list of available apps — you will be taken to your Google Classroom account.
- Choose class and one of four available actions, and follow the next steps in Google Classroom to share the project with your Classroom.
The web version of Explain Everything allows you to export your project in the desired format and upload it to Google Classroom manually. Learn how to export your project in various formats for the web.
You can also download the video you create or download your project onto your device and upload it directly to Google Classroom.
Share a cloud project to Google Classroom
Whether you’d like to work with people in your Classroom on a project in real-time or asynchronously, let them work on it on their own whenever they like, or enable downloading your project on their devices — you can share a cloud project with them.
Note: Before sharing a project, make sure it's a cloud project and its access permissions fit your desired scenario.
- Head to the Library tab.
- Go to My Drive.
- Navigate to the project you’d like to share with your Classroom.
- Select the Project Details found under the thumbnail of the chosen project.
- Select Google Classroom.
- You will be taken to your Google Classroom account — choose class and one of four available actions, and follow the next steps in Google Classroom to share the project with your Classroom.
- Select Done whenever you're ready. To join the project select Edit from the project thumbnail.
- Head to the Library tab.
- Go to My Drive.
- Navigate to the project you’d like to share with your Classroom.
- Select the Project Details found under the thumbnail of the chosen project.
- Select Google Classroom.
- You will be taken to your Google Classroom account — choose class and one of four available actions, and follow the next steps in Google Classroom to share the project with your Classroom.
- Select Done whenever you're ready. To join the project select Edit from the project thumbnail.
- Sign into Explain Drive.
- On the project you'd like to share for, select the ⋮ More icon.
- Select Share.
- Make sure the project has correct access permissions and select the Share button next to the project's link.
- Select the Share with Classroom button — you will be taken to your Google Classroom account.
- Choose class and one of four available actions, and follow the next steps in Google Classroom to share the project with your Classroom.
- Close the tab whenever you're ready. To join the project select Edit from the project thumbnail.
