The Cutout Tool allows you to duplicate any part of your canvas. Select and drag to select the area and it will be duplicated in a nifty way (without a background) creating a new, separate object.
Using the Cutout Tool
There are three different modes that allow you to cut out areas of your canvas in different ways, so you can decide which mode is the best for you!
Rectangular Cutout which allows you to cut out and duplicate rectangular pieces of your canvas.
- Select the Cutout Tool from the Toolbar and select it again to reveal options.
- Select the Rectangle Cutout Mode.
- Drag your finger across your canvas to cut out the area you wish you duplicate.
- The area you selected will be duplicated and you can move it anywhere you want to on your canvas.
Lasso Cutout which allows you to duplicate any shape on your canvas using freeform selection. This lets you select an area of any shape or size.
- Select the Cutout Tool from the Toolbar and select it again to reveal options.
- Select the Lasso Cutout Mode.
- Start using the Lasso as you do with the Draw Tool, creating freeform areas on the canvas.
- The area you selected will be duplicated and you can move it anywhere you want to on your canvas.
Precise Cutout designed specifically to give you more precision when using your fingers to cut out parts of your canvas.
- Select the Cutout Tool from the Toolbar and select it again to reveal options.
- Select the Precise Cutout Mode.
- A cutout tool with a handle will appear on your canvas. You can move this around your canvas to wherever you want to start cutting objects out.
- Select the blue cutout icon to start cutting out the area you wish to duplicate.
- Select the check mark when completed.
- The area you selected will be duplicated and you can move it anywhere you want to on your canvas.
