You can set the order in which elements are displayed on your canvas. This way you can layer them as you like.
Tip: Grouped objects maintain their layer order. If an object is between other objects that you group, it will stay like this so you can hide it for a surprising reveal later.
Change the display order of objects
- Select the Hand Tool from the Toolbar.
- Select an object (or objects) on the canvas that you'd like to change the order of.
- From the Context Menu select the Arrange tab.
- Select one of the options:
Bring to front: moves a selected object to the very top of the canvas.
Bring forward: moves a selected object one layer up within the canvas.
Send backward: moves a selected object one layer down on the canvas.
Send to back: moves a selected object to the back of the canvas.

Tip: You can also set objects as background for your slide. This way they won't scale when you zoom and pan around the canvas.
