Available for: iOS and iPadOS 15.1
You can use Explain Everything to whiteboard with others during FaceTime calls using SharePlay.
If your device is running at least iOS or iPadOS 15.1, and you have the latest version of the Explain Everything Whiteboard app on your device, you can make a FaceTime call and immediately take people in the call with you to whiteboard together.
You can invite your FaceTime call participants to join a cloud project so you can work on it together, or just share your screen to present a local project if you don't want to invite them to collaborate at the moment.
Note: In order to receive the invitation or see your screen, people in your call also need to be on a device running at least iOS or iPadOS 15.1.
Note: During the call, you won’t be able to add and record video objects, or record audio, because your camera and microphone are used by FaceTime. You can make a recording without sound using the Timeline.

Share Explain Everything's screen to present local projects
Share your screen to present local projects if you don't want to invite others to work with you.
- Open the FaceTime app. Sign in with your Apple ID if necessary.
- Make a FaceTime call. You need the person's phone number or email address.
- When the call has connected, select the SharePlay button from the FaceTime control panel.
- Select Share My Screen to share your device's screen with other call participants. After a three-second countdown, screen sharing should initialize.
- Navigate to the Explain Everything app and open it.
- Enter or create a local project. Other call participants will be able to see your Explain Everything project and follow the actions on your screen in their FaceTime.
Note: If you enter a cloud project while sharing your screen, your FaceTime participants will receive a SharePlay notification and will be able to join the project.
Note: A person that shares the screen does not send their camera image, so others in the call won't see their face.
