In Explain Everything, you can work with projects on your own or collaborate with others. If a project is available for collaboration, you can easily join it.
There are three different ways to access an Explain Everything project.

Use a CODE
Every project that is available for collaboration has a unique CODE that consists of a special combination of letters. If you have that CODE, you can easily use it to join a project.
- Head to the Home tab.
- From the Actions section at the top of the screen, select Join With CODE.
- Type in the CODE of the project you’d like to join.
Tip: You can also join a project with a CODE while being signed out of your account on your device. On the app’s sign in screen, select Join Project and type in the CODE of the project you’d like to join.

- Sign into Explain Drive.
- In the Search or enter CODE bar, type in the CODE of the project you’d like to join.
Tip: You can also join a project with a CODE whenever you start a new project. While on your Explain Drive, select + New project > in the search field at the bottom of the New Project window, type in the CODE of the project you’d like to join.
Use a web link
If someone grants you access to a cloud project, you’ll get an email with a web link you can use to join the project. To join the project, you need to open the link. If you’re not signed in, you’ll be asked to sign in to your Explain Everything account so you can access the project.
Tip: You can also create a web link by yourself if you have a project’s CODE. The link to an Explain Everything project always looks the same: https://expl.ai/EXAMPLECODE. Similarly, if you have a web link, you can detach a CODE from it and use it to join a project.
Open a project from the Shared With Me folder on your Explain Drive
If someone shares a project with you, it’ll appear in the Shared With Me folder on your device so you can have easy access to all the projects that were shared with you from one place.
- Head to the Library tab.
- Go to the Explain Drive section, and select the Shared With Me folder.
- Find the project you’d like to join and open it.
- Head to the Library tab.

- Find the project you’d like to join and open it.
- Sign into Explain Drive.
- From the navigation bar on the left (or the main menu on mobile), select Shared with me.
- Navigate to the project you’d like to join and open it.
