You can export Explain Everything projects in many different file formats. This way, you can create a new file of a desired type that is based on the contents of your project.
You can also easily print the contents of your project if you choose to export your project as a document or as an image.

Access export options
- While in a project, select Share in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Export.
- Choose one of the available formats to open corresponding Export options.
Available export file types
Select the format that you’d like to export your project as to open a corresponding article with instructions.
- Video: .mov, .mp4
- Document: .pdf
- Project: .explain (the native Explain Everything file format)
- Image: .jpg, .png
- GIF: .gif
Tip: If you’d like to print the contents of your project, choose to export your project as a document. After customizing your Document Export Options, you will be able to choose to print it from the available actions. You can also choose to export your project as an image, then customize your Export Image Options, save it to a desired location, and print it from there.

Tip: If you’d like to print the contents of your project, choose to export your project as a document — you’ll be immediately taken to print settings so you can customize your print options and print your document. You can also choose to export your project as an image — your project will then be saved in the default download folder on your device where you can print it from.
