You can reset the password to your Explain Everything account if you forgot or lost it.
If you remember your password but want to change it for security or other reasons, you can easily do so.
There are a couple of different ways to reset your password depending on the sign in option you use to access your Explain Everything account.
Select how you sign in
- An email and a password.
- A single sign-on (SSO) option: Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, Sign in with Microsoft; Clever, Skoletube/Studietube, Børnetube.
- No email — only a username and a password.
- I don’t remember using login credentials.
Note: When signing in to your Explain Everything account on any device, make sure you use the same sign in option you chose when creating your account.
An email and a password
If you sign in to your Explain Everything account with an email and a password, you can easily reset your password by using the Forgot your password option.
- Head to the Forgot your password screen.
- Enter the email address you registered your account with and select Submit. You'll receive an email at this address with instructions on how to reset and create a new password to your Explain Everything account.
Note: Double-check your email address. If you don’t remember the email address you provided when creating your Explain Everything account, please leave us a message — we might be able to help you out.
A single sign-on (SSO) option
Tip: If you Sign in with Apple, you can also set a unique password to your Explain Everything account — this will enable you to sign in to your Explain Everything account using both the Sign in with Apple option, and your email and the newly set password. If you forget or lose the newly set password to your Explain Everything account, you will be able to easily reset it using the Forgot your password option without having to reset your Apple ID password.
Tip: If you Sign in with Google, you can also set a unique password to your Explain Everything account — this will enable you to sign in to your Explain Everything account using both the Sign in with Google option, and your email and the newly set password. If you forget or lose the newly set password to your Explain Everything account, you will be able to easily reset it using the Forgot your password option without having to reset your Google account password.
Tip: If you Sign in with Microsoft, you can also set a unique password to your Explain Everything account. This will enable you to sign in to your Explain Everything account using both the Sign in with Microsoft option, and your email and the newly set password. If you forget or lose the newly set password to your Explain Everything account, you will be able to easily reset it using the Forgot your password option without having to reset your Microsoft account password.
If you use Clever to sign in to your Explain Everything account, your login credentials are managed by the school district. If you’d like to reset your password, please get in touch with your district’s tech support.
You should see the contact information on your Clever login screen. If you don’t see it, please reach out to your teacher.No email — only a username and a password
If you’re a Member of a Group Account registered via CODE or MDM, you use only your username and password to sign in to your Explain Everything account. If you’d like to reset your password, get in touch with your Group Account Admin.

I don't remember using login credentials
Your account may not have an email address and password. This may happen if:
- You’re using the native Explain Everything app downloaded from the App Store or Google Play on your iOS/iPadOS or Android device.
- You’re on the Free Trial.
- You have switched from the Free Trial to a paid subscription.
If you’d like to reset the password to your account, you need to fill in your profile with an email address and a password first. To be able to do so, you need to take the original device you used when signing up and set your email address and password.
